Quick answer. Another device or a browser: Find My or Find My Device. Play sound, lock, then erase only when you are sure it is gone.

Calling it only helps if it is in the sofa and not on silent.

MarketPalace Guide Center writes this as a solution walkthrough — the order we would use if we were in the room with you. We name the next click, then what to do if that click fails. We do not sell the TV, the kettle, or the plane ticket.

If a menu name on your set or phone does not match, use the closest wording and email hello@marketpalace.shop. We correct live pages when the path has moved.

What you need

  • A second device or any browser

1. iPhone: icloud.com/find or Find My on another Apple device

Android: android.com/find with the Google account.

2. Play sound if you think it is in the house

Even on silent it should ring.

3. Mark as lost / lock and leave a callback number

Do this before a thief powers it down if you can.

4. Erase only after you have given up on getting it back

Erase is permanent for what is on the device.

If it still fails

  • File a local report if it was stolen. This guide is not legal advice.

When you are done, browse more in Phone & Apps or search the Guide Center for the next job on your list. A neighbour problem — a remote, a bill, a suitcase — has its own walkthrough.
